About Re-G3X
Re-G3X (Research in Games, Gamification, Serious Games, and eXtended Reality) is an inter-university research group formed through a partnership between ICMC-USP and IGCE-UNESP, along with collaborators from other institutions.
Our Mission
We research and develop solutions in the areas of Games, Gamification, Serious Games, and Extended Reality (XR) , applying knowledge in:
- Procedural Content Generation
- Intelligent Agents
- Software Engineering
- Human-Computer Interaction
Research Highlights
Despite being recent, the group has already published in high-impact journals and conferences, such as:

- Overlord System: orchestrator of multiple procedurally generated contents, adaptable to different player profiles.
- RUFUS Platform: development of therapeutic and empathetic games.
- COMBO Framework: support for creating constructivist educational games.
Infrastructure and Collaboration
We operate in an integrated manner using online tools such as:
- Discord – communication and project organization
- Google Drive – documents and meeting recordings
- GitHub – open source code and institutional website
Biweekly meetings follow a format inspired by Scrum’s Daily Meeting, promoting transparency and agility in development.
